Review of Semi-Pro (2008) by Anna-Maija I — 30 Jan 2010
An average comedy, made good by Will Ferrell and a very funky soundtrack. As all-time sports comedies go, this really doesnt cut the mustard, but as another addition to the Will Ferrell movie collection of wonderfully stupid premises, this really isnt bad at all.
OK, Im a Basketball lover, so the game sequences I found absolutely hilarious, and I think Andre Benjamin is arguably the coolest man on the face of the earth, but overall this is watchable, but not classic comedy.
Will Ferrell, Andre 3000, lots of big hair, funk soundtrack, and Basketball. From my point of view, thats a pretty good combo, but I accept that this wont float everybody's boat.
