Review of Semi-Pro (2008) by Eric R — 29 Apr 2010

Semi-Pro is a movie that you might hope is similar to Anchorman or Talladega Nights, in the sense that its full of one-liners and wacky characters, such as Jackie Moon. However, this one falls short on such lofty expectations.

It is indeed full of one-liners, but not all of them good. Ferrell seems to just act out more of the same nonsense as opposed to actually created something new that a new character deserves. Despite its flaws though, this movie does have a few laughs to be found in it.

I don't think this one is worth seeking out, but if you run across it in passing, I would check it out.
