Review of Selma (2014) by Anne R — 20 Apr 2015
Glory hallelujah.
This powerful Inspiring slice of life shows the incredible and fantastic story of the March from Selma to Montgomery. Oyelowo's performance was amazing and DuVerany's direction was fantastic. Both were snubbed but still are worthy of their hype. Showing that he was not perfect, the supporting cast was also great. This should be show in schools and everywhere where this is relevant. Though it could be slow at times and Johnson was overdone, script wise this beautifully shot biopic is worth watching.
Rating: 7.9 (B+).
