Review of Selma (2014) by Johann M — 19 Jun 2017
'Selma' tells an important piece of history, sustains the legend of MLK, and grips us with a screenplay worthy of the subject matter. It's by no means a documentary and takes some liberties, however the general premise is real and is a strong statement in an era of changing times.
The acting of David Oyelowo and directing of Ava DuVernay make this a combination that you can take to the bank. Final Score 8.2/10.
