I am dumbfounded at how "Selma" got treated by the nominations for the the Oscars. This is a fantastic movie that really enlightens the viewer about MLK and his movement. While I sadly expected there to be discrimination and violence against their movement, I also expected the majority of the film to focus on that.
But instead the movie focused on MLK and his tactics and the reason behind his actions and the march from Selma to Montgomery.
