It seems like most critics are complaining about the fact that this film didn't spend enough time playing in the philosophical playground, which to me is more a problem with expectations of the reviewers than with the film itself.
If you're looking for Lucy or Limitless or Inception, this will be a disappointing movie for you, but if you're looking for an entertaining action film, it delivers that and does it well.
