Review of Self/less (2015) by William M — 15 Jan 2017
It seems I share the opinion of many reviewers on this one: decent concept and starts nicely, but then devolves into an action flick that strays too far from the "psychological science fiction thriller" it purports to be.
Reynolds doesn't try hard enough to be Kingsley, which is the most obvious failure. And then there are the quips. And the shoot-outs. To boot, it's all too predictable. I didn't hate it, but I can't pretend it's a good film.
Too bad.
