Review of Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me (2022) by Lonescoop — 04 Nov 2022
Beautiful, heartbreaking, honest and real. It was very hard to watch it and see all the pain Selena had to go through. But as someone who struggles with mental health issues myself, it is giving hope. We are not alone and even though it's a very difficult journey there's light at the end of the tunnel.
I only wish it was longer and not as rushed as it sometimes felt. I feel like there's more to it that we could've discovered - but I get that might've been something she was not comfortable with sharing after all, since talking about mental health is something very delicate. I wouldn't want to be seen as "fragile" and/or "crazy" by the entire world as well. But maybe there's hope for an extended director's cut in the future.
