Review of Seeking Justice (2011) by Lora R — 31 Jan 2012
Seeking Justice has a nice concept and is watchable, but there are quite a lot of movies out there who have a similar story. The main concept is nice, but the execution is poor, because the movie lacks depth and I find it poorly written. Towards the end you still don't get a good explanation of what happened or what is happening and who is in control and why. Another question I have is why was the journalist filming that family? They never explain that in the movie.
Seeking Justice fails to make use of all the cast members. Jennifer Carpenter's name appears like she is going to have a major role, but it turns out her role is insignificant and could have been left out. Nicolas Cage was okay, but he seems to delivery the same performance in all of his recent movies. Guy Pearce on the other hand, played his role as the villain well.
