Review of See No Evil (2006) by Hugo S — 11 Mar 2008
SEE NO EVIL (2006).
Directed by Gregory Dark.
Starring Glen Jacobs, Samantha Noble, Christina VidalEight juvenile convicts find themselves in a huge mansion to clean it up as part of the program to get back on the right track. You have all the cliché, the black dude, the stupid blonde girl, the nice and good looking dude, the prude girl and the one that ends up being the key to the story. So, an evilish merciless killer stars to, well kill them, one by one. There is no reason for anything to happen in this film, All characters seem forced and the actors are bad. Even at the end of the film, when we understand why that huge dude, played by WWE's Kane, does all that it still makes no sense and feels exagerated.See No Evil was directed by a music video and softcore pornography director. It shows, not the pornography part though, cause surprisingly enough, there are no tits shot in the film, only bare ass. Anyways. It tries too hard being moody and imitating all sorts of previous horror film. This one though is more boring than the average, which is saying a lot cause most horror-slash-scary movies are already boring. We never get to care about any of the characters and we dont even care enough to want to understand why it is all happening. The film sure is violent but its not gory, its not even bad enough to be funny. Its not the kind of film you say its so bad its funny, au contraire, its so bad its not funny its that bad. The death arent cool, no one-liner can make you smile and no camera effects is good enough to make you want to see the end. Actually, Im writing this and the film isnt over yet.P.S. Just because you love wrestling, doesnt mean you have to say this film is the shit, just be objective damn it.
