Review of See No Evil (2006) by James K — 12 Jan 2009
Just how bad would a movie financed by the WWE, purely for the purposes of being a vehicle for one of their stars, be? Even considering that, surprisingly bad. Eight kids from two correctional facilities (one male, one female, ffs) supervised by two guards over a weekend to help clean up a deserted and spooky old hotel - which just happens to be where the killer who cut one of the guard's arms off four years ago is now hanging out.
Okay. It's biggest problem is that despite ticking off every slasher movie trick in the book, it fails to generate even one geniune scare, even the sudden-blast-of-music-when-the-villain-jumps-out moments are signposted a mile off.
This movie really really honks. And I LOVE Kane.
