Review of Secrets & Lies (1996) by Christine R — 06 Jul 2013
Low budget and super true to life. Brenda Blethyn and Marianne Jean-Baptiste are brilliant as mother and daughter given up for adoption 25 years before. Very raw, funny, and touching. I felt like you could know these folks.
Everyone has a story and Mike Leigh directs a really good one.
