Review of Secretary (2002) by Rick I — 18 Feb 2013
This is a very uniquely entertaining romantic comedy/drama. I really enjoyed Maggie Gyllenhaal's performance as Lee the sadomasochistic naive secretary who finds her man & way in the world with a rather unique path.
The film has it's flaws but it's high points are very enjoyable. It is funny, unique, smart and takes on a unique & possibly offensive subject matter in a very skillful & enjoyable way.
Very good film.
