Review of Secretary (2002) by 'Robecca S — 19 Feb 2009
While many would say this is a movie that is about what it is "about"... I disagree. Rather than being about two people that are satisfied with an "alternative" form of sexual expression.
... I see two people that are terrified to be vulnerable to another. Lee discovers that she likes both sides of Mr. Grey- his "harsh" side and the side she sees as he tends to his orchids or gives her kind words of advice.
He struggles regularly to let himself love Lee- let himself be submissive to his feelings. It's a fantastic movie on every level with a tremendous soundtrack. Highly recommended!
