Review of Secretary (2002) by Hieu Y — 24 Apr 2009
I hesitated to see this movie and some scenes made me slightly uncomfortable. Gyllenhaal's acting came as an equally great shock. I found myself actually in favor of this movie. Aside from the great acting, I liked it for its vision and originality.
As someone with a psychology background, I had much thoughts about this movie. I just saw it about half an hour ago, so I haven't quite had the time to fully organize my thoughts. I feel that it deserves a re-viewing.
Overall a wonderful dark romantic comedy.
