The great thing about this movie is that it triumphs in an age of cynicism. It offers none of the usual violence and vulgarity, substituting a real story of true grit, instead. Being a crusty old fart, I would've skipped this movie if my wife hadn't wanted to watch it.
Glad I didn't miss it. There's a lot to this movie and it's a shame that Diane Lane can't be nominated for an Oscar. Her performance and her chemistry with John Malkovich memorable.
