Review of Secretariat (2010) by Dipak B — 02 Mar 2011
We really enjoyed this! Yes, there are cheesy parts (she does talk to the horse by looking into its eyes), but the racing scenes are awesome, John Malkovich is awesome and I loved seeing Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) play someone retiring.
It's also a good story about the individual accomplishments and advancements made by women that have paved the way for the rest of us. Funny, touching... very good (if you can ignore the parts where you roll your eyes, which are very few, but distinct).
:).
