I found the movie to be more about Penny Chenery than the greatest racehorse of the century. Penny came across as being self-centered (pretty much abandoning her family to go play racehorse owner), bossy (reaming out trainer and jockey before discovering the horse's abscess that had affected his performance) and devoid of much business sense (just very, very lucky).

I thought the movie downplayed the brilliance of the horse and the significance of his achievement.
