Review of Secretariat (2010) by James C — 24 May 2011
Pretty good horse racing drama about the true story of a housewife who inherits her father's stables and ends up owning the last horse to win the triple crown. Film benefits mostly from a strong performance by Diane Lane and some great support from John Malkovich, Margo Martindale and Nelsan Ellis.
There's nothing here you haven't seen before in other films on the subject, but it's well made and entertaining.
