Every drop of inspiration is squeezed out of this story to make a compelling, family friendly film about the legendary thoroughbred. Lane plays a horse owner who wonâ(TM)t back down to the established boys club within the racing business.
Her fierce commitment to honour her father did seem contradictory to how she took her own family for granted as she followed her dreams. Iâ(TM)d always heard of Secretariat as a racing fan, but never knew the details of his ascent into history.
Consequently, I love the races themselves including the vintage TV clips from the actual races.
