Review of Secretariat (2010) by Cheri H — 26 Dec 2011
I liked the movie a lot. What I didn't like was the glorification of horse racing while our sons and daughters were dying in Vietnam. I was 9-11 years old when Secretariat was winning everything. But what I remember was my friends' fathers dying in the war, and wondering if mne would return alive.
Really, I wonder if a grateful nation should even conduct such sporting events in time of war.
