Review of Secret Window (2004) by Matthew M — 19 Feb 2012
As King novel adaptations go, it's not a million miles away from the source material, and Depp does punctuate the tedious nature of the action with another flamboyant, over-the-top and darkly humorous performance.
But it's not enough to save the overlong story, and a twist ending that is so unoriginal it can be spotted from about 20 minutes in. It's certainly not terrible but, if you're looking for a great Depp or great King, you'd be best finding something else.
