It's slow. Very, very slow. And when Julia Roberts is off screen, it's hard to tell if the story is currently in the present, or in one of the many flashbacks from 13 years prior. They should have tried to somewhat change Ejiofor and Kidman's looks; give him some bits of gray hair or something.
The ending is actually not too bad, with a respectable surprise. But the journey to get there just bored the crap out of me.
