Secret of Their Eyes is the American remake of the Oscar winning Argentinian original. While the new version has an incredible cast and is able to seamlessly adapt the plot to post 9/11 fervor, it doesn't do a lot with its story.

Billy Ray doesn't even try to top or replicate the one shot chase scene from the original. (but the trailer makes it seem like they will) Also throw in the fact that the movie has these characters, but they don't do a lot.

Ejiofor and Kidman have solid chemistry, but Roberts is sort of underused. Stick with the original, as this remake comes off as half-assed.
