Review of Seconds Apart (2011) by Steve S — 24 May 2011
Story of two sinister twins with unnatural abilities is spooky at times and director Negret does maintain some nice atmosphere and stylish visuals on a low budget. But, it's the story that we've all seen before, whether it be the evil twins, telekinesis, or the experimental fertility procedure producing ill effects on the offspring, the story elements are all familiar to us.
Add to that a cop who figures things out way to easily and the usual breakdown of the sibling's bond and despite the well crafted trappings, the cliches catch up to it. Still, a nice effort for a director who needs a better and more original script to really show us what he's got.
