Review of Seconds (1966) by Paul B — 05 Aug 2007
Who says there are no second acts in life? Only be careful what you wish for. There's a reason why you don't eat at the all-you-can-eat buffet every day. This is like an extended Twilight Zone episode, only more sweaty and disorienting, thanks to Frankenheimer and James Wong Howe's unsettling, paranoic directing and photography.
You'll see the ending coming before the lead character does, and it will still break your heart. Not easily forgotten.
