Review of Seconds (1966) by Chris G — 11 Nov 2007
Totally bizarre psychological thriller that benefits highly from the ingenious camera tricks by cinematographer James Wong Howe, the creepy score by Jerry Goldsmith, and the excellent performance from Rock Hudson.
Definitely maintains interest throughout but takes a long time to get to eerie climax. Weirdest sequence: the grape-pressing orgy scene. That's right, a grape-pressing orgy. Apparently they really do exist in California.
