Review of Secondhand Lions (2003) by Chelsea H — 23 Mar 2008

This movie is absolutely wonderful. I thought it looked really stupid when I first saw it, but it was so good. Hilarious eccentric uncles, a pet lion, greedy relatives waiting to get at millions, bar firghts, and a continuous story within a story with dashing heroes, Arabian princesses, and a touch of mystery that isn't resolved until the very end.

The end which, by the way, left me crying and laughing at the same time. The movies that can do that are the best.
