Review of Secondhand Lions (2003) by Tom V — 28 Nov 2009
I watched this delightful heartwarmer with my 9 year old nephew and wife and all three of us found it quite good. Although it was slow-starting its predictable story arc didn't disappoint. It required a good deal of imagination and it leaves several key elements up to the viewer.
Duval and Caine had great chemistry, with each other and Osment, and were able to pull off playing curmudgeons with both heart and soul. Overall definitely a good DVD rental for a family, kids or adults.
