Review of Secondhand Lions (2003) by Murph M — 24 Nov 2012
I know it is pure schmaltz but the story is touching. Duval and Caine are wonderful and Osment (in his last major role) still has a heart rending way about him. Older, but still vulnerable and clearly looking for men to show him the way into adulthood.
I think it is wonderful that Walter ends up as a cartoonist, and someone who his uncles still very much love. "The Kid Gets It All." Their Last Will and Testament. The kid did get it and so do those who watch this film with an open mind.
