Review of Searching for Bobby Fischer (1993) by Dave B — 27 Oct 2010
You do not need to know how to play Chess to be able to appreciate the insights from this movie.
Characters are spot on and do not try too hard to be relatable. One of the best movies on father-son, family relationships and growing up. If you understand the basics of Chess and appreciate ... the metaphors of its gamesmanship, this is the perfect film for you.
