Review of Searching (2018) by Ztilleto — 22 Nov 2018
Would easy recommend. Black mirror meets current day Found footage ish film. The whole setup is through broadcasting or other visual device interaction. You won't have a single shot that breaks the idea of it being shown on a computer/TV in some way or form.
The story buildup is great, they play very well with close to home situations and relatable topics. They give enough hints without throughout the film, for you to sit along and follow the mindset of a dad spiraling downwards as the idea of his daughter who went missing becomes darker and darker, as he continues to push on and investigate along side the police.
