Review of Searching (2018) by Cheezers — 08 Sep 2018
"Searching" has some clever moments in it's computer told story, but never quite reaches a level of "on the edge of your seat" suspense I hoped it would. The acting is pretty good, and in general the plot was entertaining.
However, at times the pacing seemed off. One scene spent what seemed about 30 seconds to show the main character just changing passwords, while the other used the same amount of time to share major plot points.
The ending tried too hard to wrap up loose ends in just a few minutes; leaving it feeling as if other parts of the movie just didn't matter. Nonetheless, "Searching" was entertaining and has it's fair share of "wow" moments you'd expect from a suspense film.
