Review of Searching (2018) by Ledaumas — 30 Aug 2018
This was a fascinating way to present the story of a film from the viewpoint of our electronic devices and our activities on the internet. John Cho is certainly proving himself to be a wide-ranging actor.
He can play comedy (Harold and Kumar) and action movies (Star Trek). In this movie, he plays a distraught father. Debra Messing is also playing against type, way against type, and just as excellent. I love the fact that more little movies like this are becoming produced.
Sure the super hero movies are fun to watch, but it’s these little movies that are worth watching more than once.
