Review of Seance on a Wet Afternoon (1964) by James C — 12 Feb 2011
Moody and dark film about a medium and her husband who kidnap a child to bring attention to her "powers." Phenomenal performances by Kim Stanley & Richard Attenborough make this a must see.
Great black & white photography by Gerry Turpin and a effective score by John Barry make this one of Bryan Forbes best films. Forbes did some amazing work in the 1960s.
