Review of Seabiscuit (2003) by Gary C — 28 Apr 2010
I think it was a fairly decent movie. I think it was well done in almost every aspect, but I just can't get in to horses.
When it started off, the story-telling seemed very choppy. But as I recall, that was the way the book was as well. Once it got started, the story-telling was much better. It was pretty funny every once in a while too. I had a few good laughs during it. It had some very nice filming and it got me to care about the races. A lot of that is credited to the music.
The ending seemed kind of lost to me. Maybe that's because they ended a hell of a lot sooner than the book.
But for the most part, it was definitely a well made film.
