Review of Seabiscuit (2003) by Jorge C — 21 Nov 2008
An excellent depression-era drama about the little guy that could, if Rocky had been a horse, this would be his story. Maguire here showcases his acting sops, which can easily be forgotten with the amount of web-slinging he's been doing.
Ross directing is at it's most glorious when the titular character takes the track. Bridges, Macy, Cooper and Banks all delivered but the 15 different horses that played Seabiscuit stoled the show.
