Review of Seabiscuit (2003) by Vasco D — 22 Feb 2009
Pretends to be a documentary at times, interesting at others. Definately didn't deserve a pg rating in the uk, I think the critics fell asleep before (or perhaps during) the inappropriate bits.
It's one of those films which reads better on paper than in performance. The pacing is slow, and the morals have mixed messages. The narration tries to add authenticity, but it seems more to moralize things.
