Review of Se7en (1995) by Andriy Y — 10 Jun 2014
On the first watch of this film, I thought it was really overrated, but I think that was just me hating on the other 99% of American detective films that are all total garbage. This is without a doubt the best movie of its kind, where the characters actually have character and it has something worthwhile and important to say. Brad Pitt gives a really interesting performance that could possibly be one of his best, whereas others give performances that seem, at times, a bit awkward. Just stick to voiceovers man.
It's not a perfect film, but it's still a good one, with a message thats just impossible to ignore.
