Review of Se7en (1995) by Ydnar4 — 10 May 2015
Seven is one of the most engaging film I have ever watched. This movie grabs hold of you from the get go and never lets go. There are no scenes in the movie that feel like they are unneeded and even the scenes that have less tension are excellent because of the performances.
When the film starts out I wasn't overly impressed with Brad Pitt but when this film creeps towards its conclusion he gets better and better. Morgan Freeman on the other hand is solid the whole way through the film and this may be his best performance ever.
The film has one of the most interesting plots that have been ever written and the film stays simple and didn't lose me at all. Of course the landmark in this film is the ended that I will not spoil but I will say that it is one of the most intense endings in all of film.
Seven actually beats out Fight Club as my personal favorite David Fincher movie.
