Review of Se7en (1995) by Anthony A — 22 Oct 2013
Se7en is the perfect detective thriller and an excellent study on human behavior and insanity. The performances are fantastic and the film is paced well. There is just as much commentary on the lives of the protagonists and their families as there is on the murders and the awful villain played exceptionally by Kevin Spacey.
The camerawork and editing are brilliant and the scenes are set up wonderfully. Se7en is a fantastic movie in its ability to stimulate ethos, logos, and pathos, all while providing an entertaining ride and some of Morgan Freeman's best lines.
