Review of Se7en (1995) by Todd A — 24 Apr 2014
Se7en is a well written engrossing suspense thriller that keeps you at the edge of your seat. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are perfectly cast and both deliver fine performances. Kevin Spacey is a scene stealer delivering some of the most memorable dialogue from the movie and Gwyneth Paltrow is decent.
The script is smart and the screenplay tight, packing in multiple punches in 130 minutes that fly by. Cinematography is great and really aids setting the mood by capturing the atmosphere and Howard Shore's score is stellar.
Can't believe and hadn't seen it yet and if you like me are late, please delay this no more and watch it as soon as possible. Definitely among the top works of a director who deliver's consistently (David Fincher)!
