Review of Scrooged (1988) by Felipe J — 14 Aug 2010
Nobody plays the dislikable asshole better than Bill Murray. This movie has him playing a rich businessman in a modern retelling of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," with Karen Allen as his former girlfriend and Bobcat Goldthwait (!) as a disgruntled employee who wants him dead.
..and it's just as much fun as it sounds. I'm a big mark for any and all "Christmas Carol" reboots anyway, but with Murray, Goldthwait and Allen in the mix, this thing rises to the level of genius.
Best Christmas movie of all time, bar none. ;).
