Does not really stand up to the test of time. Bill Murray is excellent, as usual, but the story is a typical "Christmas Carol" tale with the twist being that it is set in the 1980s. Unfortunately, they picked the wrong things to modernize this tale (Buddy Hackett, VCRs, and Bobcat Goldthwait?) Some of it worked and some didn't, but the whole thing is sadly dated. Perhaps its best to leave a classic as it is.
P.S. Watch the "Muppet Christmas Carol" since its far superior.
