The best Christmas film ever outside of Gremlins, Scrooged is one of the wonderful Bill Murray's finest moments. It's a late 80's, yuppie Manhattan set updating of Charles Dickens classic and is one of the darkest, most gleefully mean spirited xmas films ever made, yet also one of the most life affirming, magical and uplifting, mostly because the happy ending feels truly hard won this time after so much bleak, bitter cynicism.
