Review of Screamers: The Hunting (2009) by Pete S — 20 Sep 2011
13 years after the events in Screamers, this largely unnecessary sequel sees a rescue team deployed to Sirius 6B after intercepting a distress signal. Needless to say, something is waiting for them. The Hunting is formulaic and follows a similar path to its predecessor with diminishing returns.
The calibre of performers and character depth is lacking, and thereâ(TM)s no sense of fun that the first film had. Instead we get gorier deaths this time around â" nastier, for sure, but itâ(TM)s not enough to warrant the effort.
