Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Ruben A — 04 Apr 2012

Finally, a good slasher to come out recently.

I was rather unsure about this because part 3 wasnt too hot, patrick dempsey had nothing to do with this one (no explanation!), and I had heard that wes's previous film my soul to take was rather appaling.

But regardless, though this has flaws I did very much enjoy it and I thought the inclusion of 4 instead of a "Scre4m" was rather clever. as this is very much a technological film more than the others (mobile devices, facebook, texting, etc). I heard that they are making a second trilogy. oh god! its also rumored Hayden Panetierre will return for 5 (yeeaaah buddy!).

So despite its flaws Scre4m manages to be one hell of a flick.

The motivation of the killer (wont spoil) is rather deranged and the things they do...well its pretty fucked up...you have to see to believe!
