Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Paul D — 23 Feb 2013

Granted, I have a soft spot for horror, as well as a soft spot for 'Scream,' but I undoubtedly think that this was my favorite of the series. This long awaited horror sequel/remake was an amazing addition to the scream series as well as a great movie to bring the genre out of the horror movie slump the world's been in since the '90's.

The film brought about an amazing amount of twists and thrills, I was so surprised with the movie's ending that I had to see it again. Wes Craven may have slumped with his recent film "My Soul to Take," but with this movie, not only did he redeem himself, but he sent a beacon of hope to all horror-fans that there still may be a kick of life left in the seemingly dead genre.
