Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Tait W — 07 Aug 2013
Certainly a huge step up from the previous sequels. There was a lot loss wittiness in this film and actually turned to a darker story, although the fake opening was humorous and really hits the nail on the head with how dull and predictable most of the films in the horror genre are now today.
The characters are much more likable, and although the original cast was getting tiring in the second and third it was actually good to see them return in this one. Kevin Williamson returned as a writer, which was obviously the best choice made with this film.
Although it's no where near as good or as original as the first film it isn't as boring and played out as the previous sequels are and has a somewhat predictable killer reveal.
