Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Toshian F — 28 Oct 2013
Incredibly wonderful nostalgia trip with Sidney, Gale, and Dewey at your side from the get-go. I grew up with the Scream franchise as the big horror brand of the generation. I know these characters better than I thought and I had a really great time revisiting them, the town of Woodsboro, and Ghostface himself.
I found myself picking my favorite candidate for the killer - changing my mind, nitpicking at characters - investigating. You probably won't see this one coming - it was pretty cool. Personally, I loved this movie in spite of its obvious, unforgiving, ridiculous flaws and its outdated 90's formula.
I'd definitely watch it again. I'd share it with friends and partners on scary movie night for sure!
